Metz an essential stopover in the East
In order to reply to the needs manifested by suppliers and manufacturers, the organisers of the CFIA created the CFIA Metz being held on the 20th – 22nd October 2009. This event is dedicated to the food industry in the great east.Several factors are responsible for this choice:
· Firstly, the CFIA concept implicates a geographical proximity, essentially with the targeted visitors in mind. The creation of CFIA Metz therefore offers manufacturers situated in the East of France and adjacent countries, the opportunity to easily meet professionals from their sector.
· Metz benefits from a privileged geographical situation being at the main intersection of several trans-border regions.
· The workforce and activities of the food industry in Eastern France is very similar to that of Brittany (around 60 000 individuals), therefore targeting the same kind of suppliers.
During several months a series of tests were made, revealing the interest from suppliers for the organisation of an event in the East. The first exhibitors were confirmed at the CFIA Rennes 2008, held in March this year.
